Spain Audio Show 2026: Come and Listen to Saltwood Sounds in Valencia

There are some things in high-end audio that specifications, photographs and reviews simply cannot tell you.

You have to sit down and listen.

This September, Saltwood Sounds will be at the Spain Audio Show 2026 in Valencia, joining a collection of independent Spanish HiFi and High End manufacturers for three days dedicated to music, sound and serious listening.

The Spain Audio Show takes place from 25–27 September 2026 at the Hotel Meliá Valencia. Entry is completely free, with no advance registration required.

If you are curious about high-end audio, looking for new loudspeakers, or simply want to hear what independent Spanish audio makers are creating, we would love to see you there.

What is the Spain Audio Show?

The Spain Audio Show is the annual event organised by the Spain Audio Group (SAG), an association of independent Spanish manufacturers of high-fidelity audio equipment.

Valencia 2026 will be the fourth edition of the show, following previous events in Málaga and Madrid.

Unlike a huge consumer electronics exhibition, the emphasis here is very much on listening.

Several rooms will operate simultaneously, giving visitors the opportunity to hear complete HiFi systems under proper listening conditions and to speak directly with many of the people who designed and built them. The show will include loudspeakers, amplification, analogue and digital sources and high-end audio accessories.

For us, that is exactly what a HiFi show should be.

What can you expect at Spain Audio Show Valencia?

Visitors will be able to move between dedicated listening rooms and experience systems from a growing community of Spanish audio manufacturers.

The exhibitors currently announced by Spain Audio Group include Ars Sonum, Perujo, Wires 4 Music, JC Valvular, Sotto Voce, Artesanía Audio, ATM Audio and Saltwood Sounds, with further participants and demonstration details due to be announced.

That makes the show an unusually good opportunity to explore a part of the high-end audio world that can sometimes be difficult to discover through conventional dealers or larger international brands.

And, importantly, you can meet the makers themselves.

Ask why something was designed a particular way. Talk about amplifiers, rooms, materials or music. Bring up the record that has been troubling your system for the past ten years.

We rather like those conversations.

Hear the Saltwood Finisterre in Valencia

At the centre of the Saltwood Sounds room will be our Finisterre floorstanding loudspeakers.

Finisterre was created around a fairly simple ambition:

to combine natural materials, serious acoustic engineering and craftsmanship in a loudspeaker capable of disappearing into the music.

The speakers are built using birch and matched French walnut, with each cabinet made and finished by hand. An 8-inch Purifi driver provides the low and mid frequencies, while a beryllium tweeter handles the upper range.

But those are specifications.

The reason we are travelling to Valencia is so that you can hear what they actually do.

The Finisterre has been designed to deliver unusually deep, controlled bass from a relatively compact floorstanding enclosure while retaining clarity, articulation and extremely low distortion. Saltwood’s design philosophy deliberately brings together acoustic performance with natural curves, solid woods and objects that can live comfortably in a considered home.

Bring a recording you know inside out

There is no compulsory Saltwood demonstration playlist.

In fact, we would encourage you to bring something of your own.

A favourite recording.

A difficult recording.

Something beautifully produced.

Something badly produced.

Something you have heard hundreds of times.

One of the pleasures of a genuinely revealing system is discovering a detail, texture or sense of space in familiar music that you had stopped noticing.

Bring a recording you know inside out and have a proper listen.

That might tell you more about a loudspeaker than twenty minutes of discussion about frequency response.

Natural High Fidelity

Saltwood Sounds began with a shared interest in music, natural materials, science and craftsmanship.

Our speakers are designed and built in Spain, with the Finisterre conceived as much as a piece of enduring furniture as a piece of high-performance audio engineering.

Our phrase for that is Natural High Fidelity.

The goal is not simply accuracy for its own sake.

It is to reproduce enough of the dynamics, texture, timing and atmosphere of the original performance that the equipment begins to disappear and your attention moves back to the music.

The Finisterre has already attracted recognition from the specialist audio press. Hi-Fi+ highlighted its articulation, controlled low frequencies and engaging rhythmic performance, describing Saltwood as a company worth watching.

Valencia gives you the opportunity to make up your own mind.

You certainly don’t need to describe yourself as an audiophile.

Come if you own an elaborate system.

Come if you have just started thinking about better sound.

Come if you love vinyl.

Come if you listen entirely through streaming.

Come because you’re interested in beautifully made objects.

Or come because there is one piece of music that matters enormously to you and you’d like to hear what happens when it is played through a serious system.

The official show describes the event as being for both experienced audiophiles and people newly discovering high-quality music reproduction.

That is very much how we see it too.
