Saltwood loudspeakers and audio equipment in the listening room at Spain Audio Show Valencia 2026

Spain Audio Show Valencia 2026: Three Days of Music, HiFi and Conversation

Four listening rooms. Eight high-end audio companies. Three days. Hundreds of visitors.

From 25–27 September, the Spain Audio Show brought music lovers and independent audio makers together at the Hotel Meliá Valencia. For Saltwood Sounds, it was an opportunity to share what we have been building, meet listeners and spend a weekend doing what all this equipment is ultimately for: listening to music.

Four rooms, and time to listen

A listening room changes the pace of a show. You can sit down, hear a system properly and talk to the people behind it. With four rooms running across the weekend, visitors had plenty of opportunities to explore different approaches to sound.

The timetable adds up to something rather lovely: four hours on Friday evening, eight on Saturday and four on Sunday. That is 16 scheduled demonstration hours per room — or up to 64 room-hours across the show.

At four to five minutes per track, that is roughly 770–960 tracks’ worth of potential listening time. Nobody was counting songs, of course. The point was having the time and space to enjoy them.

Eight companies, different ideas

The companies represented included Ars Sonum, Perujo, Wires 4 Music, JC Valvular, Sotto Voce, Artesanía Audio, ATM Audio and Saltwood Sounds.

One of the pleasures of bringing independent makers together is the variety. Different materials, technologies and design decisions lead to different systems — and plenty to talk about. Moving between rooms becomes a chance to listen, compare notes and ask questions directly.

For us, the weekend was a chance to bring Natural High Fidelity out of the workshop and into a room full of listeners.

Our Finisterre floorstanding loudspeakers and Coral standmounts brought our approach to natural materials, sound and craftsmanship to the show. Photographs tell part of that story, but an audio show offers something a website cannot: the chance to hear the speakers for yourself.

The conversations matter too. Meeting people who care about music gives us an opportunity to explain our choices, hear their questions and learn what they want from a listening system.

Thank you for listening

A show like this depends on the people who make it happen: the organisers, fellow exhibitors and everyone who walks into a room with curiosity and a little time to spare.

Thank you to Spain Audio Group, everyone involved in organising the weekend, and everyone who came to listen to Saltwood.

Valencia gave us three days of music, conversation and ideas to bring home. We look forward to the next one.
